Preparation of the manuscripts Manuscripts should be prepared concisely in clear and grammatically correct English and should contain:
Manuscripts must use the Vancouver (author-number) style of referencing; that is, a number series to indicate references. The References must then list these in numerical order as they appear in the text. Images and tables Tables and charts should complement the text as opposed to duplicate it. Photographs and illustrations must be supplied in high resolution, at least 300 dpi JPEG/Tiff format. It is the authors' responsibility to obtain permissions from the concerned publishers/institutions for the reproduction or re-use of figures, tables, and other materials. The manuscript title must be descriptive and must not contain any brand names. Drugs must be identified by their generic name. The manuscript should conform to the standard detailed in the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals: Writing and Editing for Biomedical Publication (http://www.icmje.org). Please use US-English spelling for the final edit of a manuscript—unless the authors indicate otherwise. All measurements must be given in the International System of units (SI) (meters, kilograms, seconds, etc.). Papers must be submitted on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review, or thesis) and are not currently under consideration by another journal. The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that the article's publication has been approved by all the other co-authors. It is also the authors' responsibility to ensure that the articles emanating from a particular institution are submitted with the approval of the necessary institution. Only an acknowledgment from the editorial office officially establishes the date of receipt. Further correspondence and proofs will be sent to the author(s) before publication unless otherwise indicated. It is a condition of the submission of a paper that the authors permit editing of the paper for readability. All submissions should be directed to the editorial director of San Lucas Medical, Dr. Oneal U. Ayson, Oneal.Ayson@sanlucasmedical.com For any queries regarding the EJCMO, kindly refer to the San Lucas Medical website, www.sanlucasmedical.com or email: support@sanlucasmedical.com |
